La Salle Foundation

The La Salle Foundation is part of the Lasallian Family. Its principal objective is to promote education, and in particular the educational mission of La Salle College and La Salle Primary School, especially if these schools have needs for the development and maintenance of facilities that go beyond what is subvented by the government.

Initiated by several Past Presidents of the La Salle College Old Boys’ Association, the Foundation was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee without shares and conferred with charitable status in February 1992. Its members consist of the Brothers and old boys. The management of the Foundation is vested in a Board of Directors elected annually. Over the years the Foundation has received over $80 million in donations and has provided financial and technical support to the schools. Recent projects of significance include the redevelopment of the La Salle Primary School in 2002 and the addition of an extra wing under the School Improvement Programme in La Salle College.

In 2007, to mark the 75th anniversary of La Salle College, the Jubilee Fund was established under the auspices of the Foundation. Close to $6 million was raised to fund the cost of additional language teachers, and the development of sports and cultural capabilities.
