Dear Members,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school pitch is now closed as a precautionary measure for the safety of our current students. As a result, the 2019-2020 season of our regular LSCOBA Soccer League has been suspended. We will keep everyone posted about the status of our regular LSCOBA Soccer League season.
But of course, our passion for soccer is always alive and kicking! To keep the ball rolling (no pun intended), we would like to introduce the LSCOBA Off-Campus Soccer Tournament.
The LSCOBA Off-Campus Soccer Tournament is separate from our regular LSCOBA Soccer League and will be held outside the school. It will be 11-a-side and will take a group and knockout format. Number of matches per team depends on the total number of participating teams. If 10 teams participated in the tournament, 6-8 matches per team would be arranged.
So far, we expect the entrance fee (which covers pitch reservation fee and referee fee) to be HK$1,100 per team per match (final amount will be further announced). So assuming a total of 8 matches, the entrance fee for a team for the whole tournament is expected to be HK$8,800 (8 matches * HK$1,100).
All surplus, after netting off expenses, will be applied to fulfill LSCOBA’s donation commitments to La Salle College.
Detailed arrangements of the LSCOBA Off-Campus Soccer Tournament, including the confirmed entrance fee and number of matches, will be announced as soon as possible once the number of participating teams is confirmed.
Since this is our first time to run a soccer tournament outside the school, we might encounter factors beyond our control. Nevertheless, we can guarantee that match arrangements (i.e. time and venue) will be announced at least 7 days before every match.
We would be grateful if we can have all your responses by 3 November 2020. The pre-tournament meeting will be held via zoom on 7 November 2020.
