SPEAKER: Deputy High Court Judge David Lok (1982) 啟康法官 


David Lok studied in La Salle Primary School from 1971 to 1977 and in La Salle College from 1977 to 1984. He was the President of the La Salle College Students’ Association from 1982 to 1983. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1987 and his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 1988 from the University of Hong Kong. David then completed a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1989. He commenced his private practice as a barrister from 1989. In 1995 he changed his career path to be a Magistrate. He was promoted to a District Court Judge in 2001. He is now in charge of civil listing, PI & ECC list and Equal Opportunities List and Acting Chief District Judge. He was a Member of the Public Complaints Committee of the Hospital Authority from 2001 to 2004. In 2011 David was appointed as a Deputy Judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court of Hong Kong.
