Be part of the next issue of the Lasallian Digest! We are now recruiting volunteers and inviting article contributions from all Old Boys for the 2026 edition of the magazine.
1️⃣ Calling Art & Design Volunteers
Want to get hands-on experience in publishing, work with industry professionals, and help shape how the next Lasallian Digest looks and feels? Join our Art & Design task group!
We are looking for volunteers interested in:
• Typesetting and layout design
• Photo retouching and editing
• Liaising with the print shop (working on quotations, proofs, colour checks, etc.)
Skill level is secondary — what we care about most is your passion and willingness to learn and contribute.
You will:
• Receive guidance and basic training on layout workflow and print production
• Work alongside experienced professionals and Old Boys in the creative industry
• Be credited in the upcoming issue of the Lasallian Digest as part of the production team
If you are interested, please send us a short self-introduction (name, graduation year, current occupation, and which area you wish to help with) by email to the Editors-in-Chief at [email protected].
2️⃣ Call for Submissions – Lasallian Digest 2026
We now welcome contributions from Old Boys for the coming issue. There is no fixed theme yet — if it is a genuine Lasallian story, we want to hear it!
You might write about:
• Your student days at La Salle: a teacher, a team, an event, or a turning point
• Life after graduation: study, career, family, migration, or vocation
• Serving the Lasallian community: as a parent, coach, mentor, teacher, or volunteer
• How the Lasallian spirit has shaped your values, choices, or path in life
📝 Submission Guidelines:
1️⃣ Language & length: Chinese or English, up to around 1,500 words.
2️⃣ Photos: Please attach relevant photos (JPEG or PNG, at 300 dpi or above). If third parties appear in your photos, please obtain their consent for publication in advance.
3️⃣ Content: Articles should not be in the form of third-party interviews.
4️⃣ Deadline: 31 May 2026.
5️⃣ Submission method: Email your article and photos to the Editors-in-Chief at [email protected].
6️⃣ Editorial discretion: The Editors-in-Chief of the Lasallian Digest will make the final decision on whether and how a submission will be published (including possible editing, excerpting, or combining with other pieces).
Why submit?
• Share your Lasallian story with a wider audience and inspire the next generation of Lasallians.
• Become part of the official LSCOBA annual publication, leaving a lasting record for our alma mater and the community.
• Reconnect with brothers from different years through your words and photos, and relive treasured memories as they are read and remembered.
For any questions (on topics, suitability of ideas, or technical issues), feel free to contact the Editors-in-Chief at [email protected].
