Mar 12 – Paying Respect to Brothers’ Burial Plot

The LSCOBA Religious Subcommittee organized the Visit to Brothers’ Burial Plot on March 12, last Sunday, for Old Boys participants to understand more about lives of Brothers laid to rest in the St Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Around 30 Old Boys attended and swept the graves of the Lasallian Brothers in the Cemetery, conducted a Mass service under the dome of the Chapel, visited their graves to pay respect, and shared stories of classroom memories, sports games, and personal interaction with Brothers.

The Old Boys offered a final prayer and sang our school song before we ended. We left the cemetery with a renewed sense of appreciation for the legacy of the Lasallian Brothers. The gathering was a beautiful tribute to the lives and work of these departed Brothers, and a testament to the enduring impact of the Lasallian education.

LSCOBA would like to thank Religious Subcommittee for organizing, Rev. Fr. Edward Khong being the Mass Celebrant, and Past President Mr Mark Huang for sharing the history of selfless service by the De La Salle Bothers in Hong Kong since 1875, almost 150 years ago.
