Dear Fellow Old Boys,
On 25 September, the adjourned AGM elected the new cabinet of LSCOBA. This turns a new page for LSCOBA.
In the past year, LSCOBA held a lot of activities; many of them new forms of activities. I would like to thank my cabinet members, subcommittee members, organisers and helpers, for without your hard efforts, this would not have happened.
I would also like to thank all members who took part in LSCOBA’s activities. The participation of each of you added to the vibrancy of the Lasallian community. I would also like to express my gratitude to Brother Thomas, Principal Mr. Tong and the School for the support all along in the past year. This means a lot to us…… Read more »

La Salle Dress Up Day
While teachers and students kicked off the 90th Anniversary celebrations on campus, Old Boys showed off their treasured La Salle apparel for the La Salle Dress Up Day on 10 September. The flood of photos on social media of Lasallians dressing up spoke loudly of our creativity and solidarity!
We take the liberty to gather some of the dress-up photos and make a mosaic below.
90th Anniversary Celebrations
Lasallians in Olympics
Five of our Old Boy Olympic athletes were back to the College on 28 October. The homecoming Olympians had a sharing session with students and played with athletes in the school teams.

Friendly Soccer Matches with SPCAA
On 29 August, Tseung Kwan O was reportedly filled with a sporty atmosphere, as old boys from La Salle College and St. Paul’s College played against each other at the Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre. We had three matches on the day – Senior, 35+ and Open Group.
The results? A consensus that we should have another game soon!
Chinese Orchestra Concert
The La Salle Old Boys’ Chinese Orchestra Concert “Reminiscence” on 22 September marked the 20th anniversary of our Chinese Orchestra. The audience enjoyed an evening of passionate performance, concluded by a powerful rendition of our School Song with Chinese instruments.
Congratulations to our musicians on the success!
Lasallian Spirituality Webinar
The phrase “La Salle Spirit, Never Say Die” needs no introduction for us. But as a Lasallian, how can we live out the Lasallian Spirit of Faith and Zeal in our daily lives?
On 20 November, Father Xavier Wong (黃君右神父) and Deacon John Lam (林智民執事) spoke online on Catholic Faith and Lasallian Spirit.

Sharing the Joy with Brothers Overseas
On 6 October, the LSCOBA met representatives from overseas chapters online, to share the joyful and celebratory news on the 90th Anniversary of our Alma Mater.
We are honoured with the presence of Brother Thomas, Principal Mr. Tong and Mr. Pau Shiu-hung (1960), Chairman of the La Salle Foundation. Old Boy representatives from 11 chapters and cities around the world attended.
“How to Dress like a Pro” Webinar
On 28 July we invited three Old Boy speakers to enlighten us on men’s attire from clothing, shoes to watches, and all the magic about mix and match that makes us look as cool as the men we really are.
We are planning on other webinars on grooming. Stay tuned!
Missed that? The recording is here.
Teachers’ Day Online
Teachers’ Day celebration is not only for school and current students! For the ties with our teachers do not end at the school gates.
On 17 September, LSCOBA was honoured with the presence of four retired teachers (Mr. Peter Chiu, Mr. Michael Leung, Mr. Victor Lo and Mr. Randy Woo) to catch up for some casual chats and remember the good old days.
Come and listen to our teachers!
Interested to show off your treasures?
The school is now expanding and renovating the school’s Heritage Centre. The LSCOBA is assisting the school’s quest to enrich its heritage collection. If you have any items or photos that relate to the history of La Salle and student lives, we would love to learn about them, as well as the stories behind them.
Donation or loan of items for the heritage collection would be most welcome. If you’d like to show us anything in your treasure chest, please send us an email ([email protected])!
