A Warm Invitation to work for our Heritage

Dear Fellow Lasallians,

I am very plesed to inform you that our new Committee has held its first Planning Meeting in the Old Boys Room of La Salle College within 72 hours after we have been elected in the Annual General Meeting 2003.

During the meeting last night, Brother Thomas has briefly talked to us on the importance of solidarity in our Association and the need to utilise fully the momentum we have generated in our recent election campaign. Three young graduates of LSC were invited to share with us their expectation and aspiration of LSCOBA The three and half hour meeting last night, which was attended by Committee members and other interested members of LSCOBA was quite fruitful and the following points are a few highlights of the meeting:

  1. Brother Thomas and Past Presidents of LSCOBA will be invited to a Family BBQ jointly organised by the outgoing and incoming Committees in La Salle College.on 19.7.03. This will be a happy occasion to facilitate handover and promote fraternity among fellow Old Boys. I would personally invite all members of the outgoing Committee to join in the work of the Association in the coming year.
  2. In order to improve communictions between the Committee and our three thousand odd members, a President’s Corner will be set up in this website. Members are welcome to send in opinions and suggestions for improvement etc. to the President and Committee of LSCOBA via email.
  3. A total of six subcommittees will be formed to formulate and organise various functions of the Assocition in the coming year. These subcommittees include Alumni Development Subcommittee, Sports and Recreational Activities Subcommittee, Heritage Promotion Subcommittee, Current Students’ Subcommittee, Communications Subcommittee and Finance Subcommittee. A Working Group on Constitutional Review will be formed to review the constitution of the Association. All members of the Association are warmly invited to join in the work in these various Subcommittees. Please let me know your view and suggestions via the email address [email protected].

Thank you all once again for your strong support and looking forward to another joyful and prosperous year ahead in our precious Heritage.

with warm regards.
