Result of the Alumni Manager Election 2014

Dear alumni of La Salle College,
Reference is made to my Notice of the Alumni Manager Election 2014 (the “Alumni Manager Election”) for the Incorporated Management Committee of La Salle College (the “IMC”) dated 5 May 2014.
As at the deadline of the nomination period (5:00 pm on 19 May 2014), the Hon. Secretary of the LSCOBA only received one (1) nomination form submitted by Mr. Leonard CHU (Class of 1983). Mr. Chu’s nomination form was subsequently verified and confirmed as valid.
According to the election procedures for the Alumni Manager Election, if there is only one (1) eligible candidate nominated, no election shall be conducted and such candidate shall be nominated by the LSCOBA for registration as the Alumni Manager of La Salle College. In this regard, as Returning Officer of the Alumni Manager Election 2014, I am pleased to declare that Mr. CHU Wing Fei, Leonard (Class of 1983) is deemed to be successfully elected ipso facto, and shall be nominated for registration as the Alumni Manager of the IMC of La Salle College for the term 2014-2015. The LSCOBA will submit the relevant information to the Permanent Secretary for Education to nominate Mr. Chu for registration.
It follows that the Alumni Manager Election originally planned for 6 June will no longer proceed.
Alumni who are not members of the LSCOBA and who submitted applications to be registered for the election will be notified individually on their eligibility to vote in future elections.
