Dear Members,
We refer to the 2020 annual general meeting (“AGM“) of the Association held on 16 October 2020 and the election (the “Election“) conducted therein.
We would like to inform our Members that all ballots and proxy forms cast for the Election have been sealed and would be safekept by the scrutineer for a month from the date of the AGM, during which no one (including the Committee) can access or inspect the ballots and the proxy forms. Unless there are any written challenges or disputes raised to the Returning Officer regarding the Election on or before 16 November 2020, the scrutineer will destroy the ballots and the proxy forms. No hard copy or electronic copy will be kept.
The Committee acknowledge that the Election was a first of its kind and scale in the history of the Association and appreciate the effort of the School’s management, the former Committee and the Returning Officers in organising a successful AGM. The Committee shall evaluate the procedures and arrangements of the Election and consider feedback from our Members. We shall utilize this experience to improve our time and cost efficiencies in future events.
Last but not least, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to all Members who returned to the School to attend the AGM. Your participation is of utmost importance to the success of the Association and we hope to see you soon (or on Zoom) in our future events.
