LSCOBA 2001 Spring Golf Tournament
This event was held on 25-26 May 2001 at the Agile Golf & Country Club ( 長 江 高 爾 夫 球 會 ) at Zhongshan ( 中 山 ). Although many of the old boys were busy with their own schedules, a total of 34 old boys had signed up for the event. 4 participants had to leave after the 1st round, but Lok Hing Sun (82) drove all the way from HK on his Pajero and arrived late in the evening on the 1st day in time to join the group for dinner. He also gave Manuel Pinto (78) and Steve Hu (79) a ride and the charge per head was a bottle of 2001 Chateau San Miguel. Good deal! Our first timer Ng Lee Ho Leo (73) was stationed in Guangzhou but drove one hour each way on both days to join in the fun.
After the 1st round, we headed to the hotel which was next to a reservoir to spend the night. On our way, we sang the happy birthday song to our birthday boy Lau Kai Dik Joseph (77). Some stayed in the hotel for dinner, and a dozen of us went to the downtown to try the local gourmet and foot massage.
