LSCOBA 2011 Summer Golf Tournament - Report
Only 22 old boys managed to get away from work for the event held on 27 May 2011 at the Fenghuangshan Golf Course (鳳凰山高爾夫球場). This golf course is only 45 minutes away from the border, but it was the first visit for many of us to this hilly layout on an ex-quarry mine and we had to face the challenge of some very interesting holes, including the 256 yards par 3 requiring a perfect hit across a ravine to reach the green.
We were blessed with some very good weather and enjoyed the camaraderie amongst the fellow old boys at the lunch after the round.
The winners were as follows:

Leonard Chu (83)
Gilbert Lau (81)
Tony Cheung (77)
Best Score
Leonard Chu (83)
Best Front 9
Thomas Tung (77)
Best Back 9
Frankie Jim (83)
Longest Drive
Stephen Ting (77)
Nearest Pin
Stephen Ting (77) x 2
Thomas Tung (77)
Gilbert Lau (81)
Henry Lam (83)

According to the La Salle golfers' local rules, Leonard Chu (83) and Gilbert Lau (81) have donated HK$2,500 and HK$2,000 respectively to the golfers' funds.
I would like to thank my organizing committee members Thomas Tung (77) and Ian Kwok (81) for their unfailing support, and also Stephen Ting (77) and Thomas Tung (77) for acting as the official chauffeurs in response to my last-minute call. Last but not least, I have to thank all the participants to make this event a success.
