3 pieces of "fresh" chewing gum were picked up from the soccer field after matches on 18 May 2003. While, some were picked up intact, two pieces could not totally be removed and caused permanent damage to the field. See the attached photos for some fresh and old damage done.

Please be reminded that CHEWING GUM is strictly not allowed on the soccer pitch or on the running track.

It is not acceptable for players to say they won't spit it out, as during play they do drop from players' mouths, and often players are too busy to pick them up immediately.

Chewing gum is causing serious damage to the field and track and there are many stains around the field, and very often the damage cannot be reversed.

Please be considerate and take good care of our school's property.
