De La Salle moved from Reims to take over a school in Paris |

Fell gravely ill and was close to death but eventually recovered. |

De La Salle, Brother Nicholas Vuyart and Brother Gavriel Drolin made the
"heroic vow" to continue the work of the schools at any cost |
