Rules and Regulations - Christian Brothers' Cup III

Day 1 (7 August 05) matches is conducted in a league format. Each match lasts two periods of 35 (thirty-five) minutes and the half-time interval will not exceed 10 (ten) minutes. However, the duration of the match and half-time interval may be altered at the referee's discretion. 3 (three) points will be awarded for a win, 1 (one) point for a draw and 0 (zero) point for a loss. If two or more teams tie on points, the position will be decided by the net goal difference.

In the event of a tie in both the total points and the net goal difference, the team with the higher number of goals scored will be awarded the higher position. In case of a further tie in goals scored, the winner of the match between the two teams in question will be awarded the higher position. 5 penalty shots will be conducted if the match between the two teams were a draw, with reference to the latest FIFA rules.

Day 2 (28 August 05) matches is conducted in a single game format. Each match lasts two periods of 35 (thirty-five) minutes and the half-time interval will not exceed 10 (ten) minutes. However, the duration of the match and half-time interval may be altered at the referee's discretion. Extra time lasts two periods of 10 (ten) minutes each with no half-time interval, in silver goal rules would apply for a tie in regular time. In case of a further tie after extra time, 5 penalty shots will be conducted, with reference to the latest FIFA rules.

Each participating team can register a maximum of 30 players.

Substitution during play: Unlimited; however each team must NOT have more than 5 players under the age of 30 AND at least 2 players aged 40 or above on the field at any ONE time. This is to ensure that old, kind of old, and young old boys all get to participate in this truly relationship fostering event.

If typhoon signal no. 3 (or higher), red / black rainstorm signal, or thunderstorm signal is hoisted at 8:30am on each date, all matches will be postponed by one week.
