Founded in 1978 the Esquel Group (溢達集團) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of premium cotton shirts. Employing over 45,000 people it supplies 60 million shirts each year to leading brands around the world including Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, LaCoste, Esprit, Abercrombie & Fitch, Nike, Burberry and major retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Nordstrom and Jusco. It is a privately-owned company headquartered in Hong Kong with its own nanotechnology research and development center. Esquel's vertically integrated operations begin in Xinjiang province in northwestern China, where the Group grows its own Extra Long Staple Cotton and Organic Cotton. By weaving/knitting 90 million yards a year Esquel is China's largest manufacturer of cotton yarn dyed woven fabric. The GaoMing factory alone produces 13,000 tons of cotton knit fabric annually. Its garment manufacturing facilities are located in mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The final process of garment packaging and retailing (Esquel's own label is called PYE) enables Esquel to control quality from raw material to final product realizing the benefit of vertical integration, a concept much advocated in MBA textbooks.

18:20	Ferry arrives Tsim Sha Tsui China Hong Kong Ferry Terminal (中港城) and concludes official visit
18:45	OPTIONAL networking dinner to be arranged on the spot for those interested
