The LSCOBA and the newly formed Social Services Sub-Committee (SSSC) would be holding its first Charity Event. We would be holding a Xmas party at The Chee Sing Kok Social Centre of the Humanity Love, Mount Davis, 404 Victoria Rd, HK Island on December 15, 2001, around 2-4 p.m.

OB's are welcome to attend that day to share the joy of the festive season with the folks in the centre. We are also preparing presents for the folks. OB's can contact Gerald G. Huang at the e-mail address below for further discussion and arrangements.

The basic philosophy of the SSSC of the LSCOBA is to explore and put to action areas where LSC OB's can offer care and happiness to the less fortunate groups in society. The SSSC OB Working Members will be exploring with different charity groups areas where LSC OB's can best help the needy.

On agenda for consideration are visitations to home for the aged and orphanages, helping mainland new immigrants with learning English and getting acquainted in HK, Kowloon City Community Help etc. The SSSC aims at exploring areas where OB's can offer meaningful charity work on a continual basis.
