The effort of connecting LaSallians residing in different countries of the world started in 1995 when a few enthusiastic old boys put together a simple list with names and email addresses of those who have expressed interest of such a correspondence. Very soon, the list grew and a basic website was established on the Internet. This website served as a platform on which LaSallians can get together and discuss issues we all care about - issues related to our La Salle College, Hong Kong.
In 1999, after several revisions to the website, it was finally launched as the official website of LSCOBA carrying www.lscoba.com as its worldwide domain. Since then, several significant features have been added to the website including the Professional Database which replaces the simple email list with personal and professional profiles of over a thousand Hong Kong LaSallians who wish to share their experiences through this online medium. Today, the website has thousands of visitors on a daily basis, and is the central piece of this global network that is truly the place on the Internet where LaSallians can keep in close touch with fellow LaSallians and our alma mater.
Today, the lscoba.com is a place where our Spirit could be reflected on the Internet and we are confident that it will hold all LaSallians tightly together even though we may not be physically together in the same continent. Graduating from La Salle College did not mark the end of our school Spirit. Once we became a LaSallian, the LaSalle Spirit has been deeply engraved in our heart.
