The La Salle Foundation
The La Salle Foundation is part of the La Salle Family. Its principal
task is to raise funds to support La Salle College and La Salle
Primary School in their needs, particularly for the improvement and
maintenance of school facilities not subvented by the government.
Initiated by several Past Presidents of the La Salle College Old Boys
Association, the Foundation was incorporated with charitable status in
February 1992. Its membership is made up of Brothers and Old Boys.
Management of the Foundation is vested in a Board of Directors elected
annually.
Over the years, the Foundation has raised more than $60 million and
has contributed towards the repair and replacement of school
facilities. These include the large scale renovation of La Salle
College in 1993-95, the replacement of the astro-turf sports field of
the College in 1997, the installation of air-conditioning in the old
La Salle Primary in 1995, the redevelopment of La Salle Primary
School, and additional facilities in the new buildings under the La
Salle College School Improvement Project.
In 2007, the LSC Jubilee Fund was established under the auspices of
the La Salle Foundation with the principal purpose of supporting the
ongoing development needs of the College. The Funds has received
pledged amounts of approximately $6 millions.
